The scales of the Cedar Rose (Cedrus deodara) are beautifully intricate and in my opinion, made to be worn. I sand any harsh edges, apply 2 coats of resin to the back for strength and rub creosote infused jojoba oil into the face of each scale before mounting on sterling silver ear wires.
